- Paper Scissors (optional)
- Clear ruler
- Seam ripper
- 7-8" Fabric scissors
- Small scissors or thread clipper
- Tape measure in 1/8" increments
- Sewing gauge
- Water soluble pen
- Dressmaker pins 1 1/2" or long length
- Pin cushion or magnet (optional)
- sewing machine needles size 80/12
- Hand sewing needles
- Highlighter pen
- Pencils
- Tailors chalk
Sewing Sample Notebook: 20 sample sewing techniques
- 1 yard of muslin 44" wide minimum
- Contrasting all-purpose thread
- (2) 7" all-purpose zippers
- (1) 1" button
- 3-ring binder with 11 sleeve protector sheets
Project 1 - Pant: with elastic waistband
- Pant pattern will be provided by instructor
- cotton or flannel fabric 60" wide
- Coordinating all-purpose thread
- 1 yard of 1" - 1 1/2" wide braided elastic
Project 2 - Skirt: with zipper closure & waistband

Recommended sewing machine
A sewing machine is not required to take the course. But many students ask me for a sewing machine recommendation as they want to invest in their own.
