Q: How are your PDF patterns different?
A: As a fashion instructor, I have seen all sorts of ways in which people learn. My patterns focus on digestible instructions and clear visuals. Students struggle when pattern companies make assumptions about sewing knowledge and skip steps and illustrations. It's not the skill level that gets the student stuck, it's the instructions. My focus in my patterns is to detail every single step you need. I am confident my instructions will guide you to success + teach you new skills. Meet the Maker
My name is Rachel Nevarez and my mom taught me how to sew when I was 7 years old. In high school, I wanted to be different and heavily invested in sewing and thrifting my own wardrobe.
I never stopped sewing and built a 20+ year career for myself in the Los Angeles fashion industry as a designer, product developer, and production manager.
Today I am a wife, mom, and fashion instructor spending my free time, you guessed it, sewing!
